Icy Rooftop Pool Challenge

Braving the Winter Waters

One highlight was braving the icy rooftop pool-a brisk yet invigorating experience that left us feeling alive and refreshed! The contrast between the cool water and the warm Spanish sun created an unforgettable moment of pure exhilaration.

The rush of cold water followed by the warmth of the Andalusian winter sun created a perfect balance - invigorating, refreshing, and absolutely unforgettable.

Highlight

Winter Swimming: Sometimes the most memorable adventures come from stepping outside your comfort zone - the icy rooftop pool became one of our favorite winter traditions.

The Rock of Gibraltar & Border Crossing

British Territory on Spanish Soil

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It's dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. Driving over the border from Malaga, Spain, you immediately feel the unique blend of British and Mediterranean cultures.

Field Note

"The Rock" - A 426-meter limestone ridge that has stood as a guardian between two continents for millennia.

Gibraltar's Famous Barbary Macaques

Oh Yeah, The Monkeys Too!

No visit to Gibraltar is complete without encountering the famous Barbary macaques - the only wild monkey population in Europe. These cheeky residents of the Rock have been captivating visitors for centuries, and watching Skyelark's reaction to these agile creatures was absolutely priceless.

Highlight

Wildlife Encounter: The Barbary macaques are more than just tourists attractions - they're living symbols of Gibraltar's unique position between Europe and Africa.

Field Note

Legend says that as long as the macaques remain on the Rock, Gibraltar will remain under British rule!
